On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce we have awarded the SUU Business Resource center along with their partners, SUU Regional Services, Small Business Development Center, & the Women's Business Center-Cedar City with a COVID HERO AWARD for their countless hours of dedication and service provided to the businesses of Iron County during the COVID-19 pandemic. This group took on the monumental task to contact every business in Iron County to let them know of the different grants and loans available to our local businesses. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Dan Jessen -Iron County Auditor recipient of the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce COVID HEROES AWARD, for the countless hours he has put into administering the CARES Act funds and helping businesses throughout Iron County. He has spent a great deal of time walking people through the grant process in order to see our businesses succeed during these tough times

Congratulations to the Iron County Commissioners, recipients of the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce COVID HERO AWARD for their efforts in providing information, looking for ways to help the business community, and for allocating several million dollars of CARES Act funding to help the businesses in Iron County.

Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce awarded On Purpose Marketing with a COVID HEROES AWARD in acknowledgement of their efforts in providing weekly video content to help the businesses in Iron County find ways to pivot and strengthen their brand during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jen & Camille spent many hours developing content, providing free consultations and offering positive encouragement to those who were struggling.

On behalf of the business community, the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce presented Cedar City Corporation with the COVID HERO AWARD. The mayor, city council, and members of staff have stepped to help businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. They helped provide funding to produce PPE kits for businesses (which were produced locally), they matched a business grant provided to businesses in our community by the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, and they allocated a significant portion of the CARES Act funding to provide grants for local businesses. In addition, Mayor Wilson-Edwards put forth a proclamation in support of small business. Congratulations to Cedar City Corporation for receiving the first of fifteen COVID HERO Awards.
